2. Overview
This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools and no social media plug-ins. It loads no content from third-party servers: fonts and graphics are served from this website's own web server.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on servers of Host Europe GmbH, Hansestraße 111, 51149 Cologne, Germany, in data centres in the European Union. Host Europe processes the data on our behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The data is not transferred to countries outside the EU and the EEA. When you visit the website, the following data is automatically stored in server log files: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and referrer URL. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in trouble-free operation and defending against attacks. Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a specific security incident requires longer retention.
4. Contact form
Via the contact form you send us your name, your email address, optionally your company and phone number, the selected topic and your message. This information is sent by email to info@rueting.eu and is not stored on the web server. We use it solely to handle your request.
To protect against automated requests we use an arithmetic question, a field that is invisible to humans, a timing check and a limit on requests per IP address. For this limit, an irreversible hash of your IP address is stored on the server for no more than one hour. We do not use external captcha services.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request is aimed at a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering requests and in protection against misuse). We delete the data once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply; if a contract is concluded, the commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years apply.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide in order to handle your request. Legal bases and retention periods are as described in section 4.
6. Language setting
If you actively choose a language using the DE/EN switch, we store this choice in your browser's local storage (localStorage, entry “nexthr-lang”). No cookie is set and nothing is sent to us. Storing it is strictly necessary for the function you have explicitly requested (Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings. Without an active choice, the language follows your browser's language setting; nothing is stored for this.
7. External links
This website contains links to external websites, such as rueting.eu or the website of the data protection authority. When you click them you leave our website; the respective provider is responsible for data processing there.
8. No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise your rights, an email to info@rueting.eu is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.
10. Data security
This website is transmitted in encrypted form via HTTPS (TLS). We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.
11. Updates
We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or our website changes. Last updated: October 2026.
